Gong Fu Tea Shop

Snow-covered Earth ᚢ 1999 Shou Puerh

$22.00

As we enter Winter here in the Western Hemisphere we thought we'd add a new tea to the shop.

This turn-of-the-century shou puerh is the perfect tea for this time of year. It's a warm and cozy tea that evokes the scene of a svelte, fire-lit cabin in a peaceful, snowy Scandinavian forest.

When the tea first wakes up, there are notes of freshly cut wood, mint, and evergreen trees.

While drinking this tea together, we kept coming back to the word "balance" to describe it. Not too dry or too wet. Not over stimulating or too sleepy. It seems to give the drinker just what they might need at that moment. Warming and soothing the body and spirit in tandem.

The tea liquor is a deep and clear mahogany and produces pleasant oils that lubricate one's inner landscape.

The energy of the tea is contemplative while providing a crispness to one's focus and vision; awakening the senses in a most pleasant way.

This tea would be a great tea to enjoy with others during this festive time of year. It's a versatile and easy-to-brew tea that is sure to please devout tea drinkers as well as those who may have yet to wake up to the joys of fine tea.

If you like shou puerh, liu bao, and/or aged teas in general, then this is a must-try.

May this tea support you in nestling into your inner landscape; the cozy cabin in the snow-kissed woods within.
